Rose Athena goes by different names and you may know her by something else. But the first time you hang out with her you will never forget this small and dangerous woman. 

Rose got her chops on a school exchange in Rome, Italy. The women in Rome are some of the toughest in the world because the men are so tricky. That's how Rose got wise: batting away greasy guys and working her way into gallery showings. 

 You can see Rose's hard-edged personality in all of her work. Rose wants to know where the limit is so she can throw it in your face. She claims to "just want to hang out" but what she really means is "lets party and tear ourselves to pieces so I can relish in the wake and take crazy photos." Rose is satisfied that being a cute girl can have a lot of power these days. Maybe she learned too much from those Roman men.

Regardless, she's young and getting shit done. She currently has her photography in shops in Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal. She's now reporting her activities to us at STOKE, but if you can't get to a computer,  just listen for the sirens.

 

Austin Taylor knows more about the street than both you and your grandma. He's been around the block and is fully involved in the skate and snow scene. His art is sharp and heavily influenced by graf and new-age urban mischief. 

 

He's going to ACAD art college but what's more is his involvement in the newly famed Cheesedicks crew. The Cheesedicks are a new sensation around Austin's hometown of Calgary for maintaining a low-minded front that conceals their brilliance. The crew may seem to be childish and vulgar, but there's nothing immature about their serious dedication to skating and snowboarding. It's this and the fact that they're making retardedly funny vids on the regular that makes them so sick.

Austin is with Cheesedicks and now he's starting into new territory by matching his drawing talents with the business world. Last we heard he was designing children's toys and developing a mural proposal for the Childrens Hospital in Calgary. Whatever it is he ends up doing, you haven't seen it before, and STOKEshow fully supports it.                           Check out Cheesedicks CHICK HERE

 

Grayson Grant is off the hook. He's almost too much for this world. He has so many stories riddled with metaphors that he might be a complete nutjob... or he's just brilliant. 

He's now writing non-stop and may or may not go back for a third year of film school. He just doesn't know. However, he is aware of his storytelling talent and dedication to making a living in the movie industry. He's already a star in some sense; you can catch his legs running past Michael Sera and Ellen Page in Juno.  Apparently he's the only black guy in the movie. But his days of acting are ending and his days of speaking out are just beginning.

Grayson is on the road of a writer. He has enough friends, enough complicated romances, and enough guts to scrap it all into the characters of his stories. He knows people need quests, and even if the creative process is a bloody mission, he's off and writing. Balls deep. 

Franceska Lavaggi was born hardcore. She doesn't mess around. Her interests are international trade law and bunnies. Yes, bunnies. That's the deal.

STOKEshow got her for a photoshoot and then she went and organized her own shoot a week later and invited us to it. She's a woman who wants control. She's an organizer. Franceska trains in public relations jobs and sets up fund raisers and charities on the side. But just recently STOKEshow has inspired her to get involved in fashion. 

Now Franceska is bringing her South American tastes and merging them with the urban and unpredictable artists of Vancouver. Her connections in fashion, business, photography and dance have come together and she's planning events and large scale parties. She wants to shake the world- and given that she's totally sexy- we're ready for the show. 

Kinga Gorski is doing it all. Smart, sexy and dedicated to creativity. She shoots music video's on the beach by day and at night she uses her razor-sharp street smarts to thwart hustlers and fight against evil. Seriously, Kinga is a hard-hitting girl. 

If you're an up-and-comer in the film industry, Kinga knows what you're up against. She works relentlessly at acting and modeling in Vancouver. She paid her dues in smaller student films and commercials and is now involved in larger projects as she develops her talents in singing.

Modeling, acting, singing, Kinga is everywhere. We'd even venture to call her a modern day humanitarian by the way she makes all of our lives better here at STOKE. Her involvement has been a pleasure for everyone (and we haven't even addressed her partying skills). To get more from life you should watch out for two things: the law, and Kinga Gorski.
